On October 4, we were happy to welcome Ruth Broyde Sharone back to Manhattan College, presenting "Real Life Jewish-Muslim Encounters". This time, she joined us with the "Peace and Healing Quilt" a patchwork assembled by 72 Israeli and Palestinian women. Its stop in the Bronx came after paying visits to the Peace Pentagon in Virginia, the North American Interfaith Network Conference in Guadalajara, Mexico and, on their International Day of Peace, it was featured at the UN Chapel in New York.
The evening was filled with discussion and song, as Ms. Broyde Sharone shared with us songs from her original musical - "Interfaith - The Musical", and lead some MC students in founding a new Interfaith Club on campus! It was a wonderful evening of peace, understanding, and fun!
